Communication & Critical Thinking Seminar

HOW SURE CAN YOU BE?

SEMINAR ONE: SUMMER: 9 May 2011

Communication & Critical Thinking are imperative in most well functioning organisations – get them right and you excel, get it wrong and the best ideas can flounder.

This first seminar, from the non-profit member organisation the Analytics Institute, focuses on how we implement, measure and report what matters most. It addresses how we make key decisions.

Aimed at senior executives and those charged with implementing Analytics, this seminar is the first in a series of topics facilitating decision-makers and practitioners to make the most of Analytics in their organisations.

Evidence-Based Decision-Making fuels an organisations ability to make accurate decisions and get results. Introducing key concepts about Analytics as an evidence-based decision-making tool, the seminar provides practical suggestions and measures to communicate the right information to the right people.

Global Intelligence Forum Dungarvan 2010

ConferenceLogoMercyhurstLogoAs one of the United States' thought leaders on intelligence analysis, and an innovative research institution on intelligence analysis best practices, Mercyhurst College has embarked on a number of outreach initiatives to capture best practices in the Intelligence Community. Toward that end, Mercyhurst hosted the first of what we hope to be annual conferences in Dungarvan, Ireland that focused on key intelligence issues from a global perspective.

The goal for the 2010 conference is to explore the nature of analysis and its application in various disciplines, building bridges between analytic practitioners and scholars within those disciplines, and exploring best practices in terms of teaching analytic methodologies. Intended takeaways for attendees include a deeper and broader appreciation of the value of different analytic methods which can be borrowed as "best practices" from other disciplines.

The Analytics Institute brings you coverage from Day 1 of this event which focused on Non-Intelligence Practitioners and Scholars on Best Analytic Practices within their Fields of Expertise
